Drone-Mountable Portable WiFi & Bluetooth Dual-Mode Earthquake Rescue Detection and Locator

This lightweight dual-mode Wi-Fi & BLE search terminal works fully offline for post-quake rescue amid power and communication blackouts. It locates survivors by capturing signals from civilians’ mobile phones and wearables without relying on vital signs, boasting strong rubble penetration, wide-range scanning and sub-meter precise positioning. Mountable on handheld devices, drones and transport vehicles, it supports full-area screening, trapped personnel 3D localization, rescue team tracking and resettlement crowd management within the critical 72-hour golden rescue window.

    Equipment Dimensions: 80×40×130 mm

Following earthquakes, public power grids and communication base stations collapse, while GPS signals are blocked by buildings and unavailable inside rubble. Conventional life detectors only detect breathing and vibrations. In contrast, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth acquisition devices leverage mobile phones and smart bracelets carried by every individual to "locate people via their devices", serving as a core supplementary piece of equipment for rubble search-and-rescue, on-site site control and resettlement management. Dual-mode handheld detection terminals have been deployed in bulk across China’s emergency management system.

    Technical Specifications

    • Operating Frequency Band: 2.4 GHz ISM unlicensed band (2400 MHz – 2483.5 MHz)
    • Wi-Fi Channels: Supports polling scan of all channels 1–13
    • Bluetooth Mode: BLE low-power broadcast scanning, compatible with all Bluetooth 4.0/5.0 terminals
    • Receiver Sensitivity: Wi-Fi: -98 dBm; BLE: -102 dBm

    Exclusive Core Advantages

    No Reliance on Vital Signs

Detection works as long as a person carries a mobile phone, even if the casualty is unconscious or shows no respiratory movement.
    • Strong penetration capability, addressing search-and-rescue challenges for victims buried under multiple layers of debris
    • Utilizes consumer electronics already carried by the public; no pre-distribution of dedicated tags required, with zero pre-deployment costs
    • Ultra-portable and lightweight design: handheld terminals weigh only 1–2 kg, mountable on trailers, hovercraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), suitable for complex mobile operations in mountainous terrain, tidal flats and rubble sites
This system adopts a fused Wi-Fi + Bluetooth BLE dual-mode search-and-rescue algorithm optimized for extreme post-earthquake rubble rescue scenarios. The Wi-Fi probe penetrates 20–30 meters of rubble and performs wide-area scanning over a 50–150 meter radius to rapidly demarcate priority search zones. Boasting robust anti-interference performance, Bluetooth BLE delivers sub-meter precise positioning ranging from 0.1 to 3 meters, capable of locking the 3D coordinates of trapped victims buried up to 15 meters deep.
The system operates fully offline without network access, perfectly suited to post-disaster power and communication outages. Equipped with proprietary algorithms, it filters signal interference and eliminates false alarms, paired with real-time refreshed visual data to accurately identify living trapped victims and trace personnel identities via MAC addresses.
Primarily deployed for rubble rescue within the critical 72-hour golden window post-earthquake, the combination of handheld units and UAVs enables rapid full-area screening and targeted excavation to mitigate risks of secondary collapse. Additional use cases include real-time tracking of rescue crews, configurable high-risk electronic fences to safeguard rescue teams, population management in post-disaster resettlement zones, aerial disaster zone patrols and building hazard inspections.
